
Description
Job Position: Cook/ Asst. Cook - Cooking & prepping food for restaurant. No seafood allergies. Cleaning & assist in kitchen. Must be on your feet for 8+ hours daily.
Pay Rate - $18.00 per hour
Hours – 35-40 hours per week
Start Date: May 10-15, 2024
End Date: September 3-7, 2024
Employment Requirements
You will be in a Large kitchen with work stations.
Uniform – Bring closed toe non slip shoes.
Grooming – Must be presentable and clean.
Social Security Number - Approximately seven days after you check into the program you will apply for a social
security card. You will be able to work before you receive your card.
Housing & Transportation
Overview of housing situation – Located in Cedarville Lodge. There will be 2-3 students per room.
Housing Fees –Rent is $500.00 per month. (paycheck deducted)
Additional Housing Fees – A housing deposit of $200 will be due on arrival. You will not be able to move in
without it. An advance rent payment of $250 will also be due upon arrival. Total due on arrival- $450.00
Housing Deposit Refund Policy - $200 of your housing deposit is eligible for return. You must work full program
dates and leave housing clean and undamaged.
Transportation –Walking distance of 2 blocks to employment.

Community – Cedarville is closest to the Chippewa County International Airport and located
about 18.8 miles from Cedarville itself. A fast pass bus pass can get you into downtown St. Ignace (One of
America’s oldest cities) in about 32 minutes and a quick ferry ride from St. Ignace can take you to Mackinac
Island for shopping, museums, dining and more. Just a hop over to the Les Cheneaux Islands, a group of 36 small
islands
Location –Population 1,975. Located on the shoreline of Lake Huron.
Weather – Temperatures range between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit (21-26 degrees Celsius)
