Lure Lakebar – Kitchen Help (Male)

Job Position: Kitchen Help - Clean restaurant/grounds before opening, prep & cook according
to recipes and procedures. Cook foods as trained.

 Pay Rate - $12.50 per hour; Overtime $18.75 available- not guaranteed
 Hours –40 hours per week. 2-3 days training
 Start Date: May 30-June 7, 2024
 End Date: September 2, 2024

 Advanced English skills for interacting with customers.
 Uniform –polo shirt & hat provided by employer.
o Bring black closed toed comfortable shoes, black pants
 Grooming – Must be presentable and clean.
 Social Security Number - Approximately seven days after you check into the program you will apply for a social
security card. You will be able to work before you receive your card.

 Overview of housing situation – Located in a house in Alexandria, Minnesota. There will be 1-3 students per
bedroom.
 Housing Fees – Rent is $110 per week. You will need to pay the first 2 weeks of rent plus a $150 security deposit
upon arrival. ($370.00 total)
 Housing Deposit Refund Policy - $150 of your housing deposit is eligible for return. You must work full program
dates and leave housing clean and undamaged.
 Transportation- You must be able to ride a bicycle 3 miles (4.8 KM) each way. The Rainbow rider bus is $2-$5
per ride and does not run daily and can be unreliable.

 Company – Casual lakeside restaurant and bar on Lake Le Homme Dieu in Alexandria.
 Community –Alexandria has a thriving Downtown district, excellent trails, plenty of arts, museums, parks,
wineries and a whiskey distillery. Alexandria was named the best Minnesota town in 2019 by MN monthly.
 Location – Located in central Minnesota.
o 2 hours north of Minneapolis & St. Paul; known as the twin cities. The Mall of America is the
biggest shopping mall in the United States, with more than 500 stores and 10 attractions, including an
indoor theme park and is located in Bloomington just south of Minneapolis.

 Weather – Temperatures range between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit (16-27 degrees Celsius)
